| As well as all the above equipment, we also can use traditional cassette recorders to hopefully capture EVP. (Electronic Voice Phenomenon) We also have at our disposal a professional digital voice recorder and a mini disk recorder which are both used as an alternative way to catch EVP.
We also carry out white noise experiments which involves an AM or FM radio cassette recorder.
We tune the radio into part of the FM or AM band that does not have any stations broadcasting on it - this is thought to allow any spirits to be able to "come through" the noise and communicate with the group. Communication is not always evident during an investigation and quite often is only apparent when the tapes are played back later.
Trigger Objects play a big part in our investigations. These consist of various items being placed in a sealed off room or part of the location where no team members or anyone else has access to, to see if the objects move. A video camera can be left in this location to hopefully catch any of the objects moving.
Wind Chimes are also a useful tool - these would move should there be a breeze present. A microphone and mini disc recorder is placed close-by so that any noise created by the wind chimes would be recorded.
Digital still cameras - these are useful for capturing orbs or light anomalies.
Digital Thermometers are used to measure the temperature around an individual or an area of a room that appears to be colder than the rest. If a spirit energy is present the temperature will often drop, when this happens we can use our thermometer to check the reading and record if the temperature has in fact increased or decreased.
Any EMF or temperature readings we take during an investigation are compared with ones we take prior to an investigation commencing. These pre-investigative readings are conducted as part of our base-line test, which we can use to help identify if any activity has occurred during the main investigation and that may have caused the readings to fluctuate. |
